All the previous fellows from Leeds have gone on to Consultant Musculoskeletal positions in the UK; our fellows often remark on how much the fellowship helped them and prepared them for their Consultants roles:

"Having served as a Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellow in Leeds, one of the best places to train in musculoskeletal radiology, was a privilege and honour. It is a fundamental step towards my further career in musculoskeletal radiology. Starting a new job as a Consultant in Musculoskeletal Radiology in a busy, highly esteemed and demanding working environment is admittedly a challenging task. I am carrying out a large volume of MRI, CT and Radiograph reporting, diagnostic and interventional ultrasound studies as well as CT and Fluoroscopy guided peripheral joint and spinal injections. I am running orthopaedic, rheumatology and low back pain MDTs on a weekly basis and I am teaching registrars and fellows. The feedback I have received so far from colleagues, other clinicians and patients is more than positive. I feel that, thanks to my Leeds fellowship experience, I am very well prepared and I could not be more grateful to my friends, colleagues, tutors and mentors in Leeds for their valuable contribution."

Manos Astrinakis, Consultant MSK radiologist Chelsea and Westminster Hospital

"As a radiology trainee I firmly decided on a career in MSK radiology after my final FRCR exams and knew I wanted to ultimately work in a teaching hospital as a specialist radiologist. With this distinct aim in mind I decided to apply for the Leeds MSK fellowship because of its established training programme and its reputation in providing an excellent fellowship that encompasses all aspects of MSK radiology as well as the research opportunities. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Leeds and felt I continually progressed in my knowledge and skills throughout the year, as well as gaining 4 first author publications. I now work with a fantastic team of MSK Radiologists in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals."

The posts would ideally suit trainees with their CCT, wishing to improve their knowledge and experience of musculo-skeletal imaging prior to undertaking a substantive consultant post in this sub-specialty.
