Overview

Dr Richard Fawcett is a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He graduated in 2007 from the University of Birmingham medical school and after junior doctor training undertook a year as an anatomy demonstrator at the University of Birmingham. His training as a radiologist in the South West Deanery was followed by a year as a clinical fellow in musculoskeletal radiology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

As an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds, Richard is actively involved with undergraduate medical student teaching as well as postgraduate teaching for trainee radiologists in the Leeds and West Yorkshire Radiology Academy and orthopaedic trainees at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. He has co-developed a postgraduate radiology teaching website.

Richard has an active interest in clinical management and is currently lead musculoskeletal clinician for reporting radiographers at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

Areas of Specialist Interests

Spinal radiology and interventional musculoskeletal radiology with an active local research interest in these fields.
